WAUSAU — A 17-year-old Wausau teen is facing multiple felony charges amid claims he sexually assaulted a 13-year-old girl at knifepoint during a house party.

Vang Ty Xiong faces charges filed Monday in Marathon County Circuit Court of first degree sexual assault, false imprisonment and child enticement in connection with the alleged Feb. 13 attack, which happened at a home on the city’s near west side.

According to the criminal complaint, the girl was at a party with a group of other teens who were playing games and drinking. The alleged victim said she got up to leave, but was instead dragged from the door and into a bedroom. There, police say, Xiong held a pocket knife to the girl’s throat and sexually assaulted her while the girl’s 17-year-old friend looked on.

The girl told police she thought Xiong was going to kill her during the attack and threatened he would kill her if she reported the assault, the complaint states.

An investigation continues.

Xiong, who is being held in the Marathon County Jail on a $3,000 cash bond, is due in court Friday for a review hearing. He faces up to 91 years in the Wisconsin State Prison System if he is convicted of all the charges against him.
