The Wisconsin Woodchucks have announced the signing of two Baylor Bears to the 2018 roster. Nick Loftin and Jesse Garcia will bring their talents to Wausau this summer.

Nick Loftin

Loftin, a 6’1” freshman from Corpus Christi, TX will bring his strong bat to the lineup. Loftin was a four year letter-winner in high school and hit .454 with 29 stolen bases.

He was named to the MaxPrep Underclass All-American team as an outfielder and received all-district first team shortstop honors twice. Loftin has played in three games for the Bears so far this season, hitting .333 and starting one game at shortstop.

Garcia, a 5’9” freshman from Houston, TX will join the Woodchucks pitching staff. The left-handed pitcher was a one year letter-winner in high school and posted 86 strikeouts in his senior season.
