TOWN OF LEBANON — Police say a woman who was driving with three young passengers in her vehicle was having a medical emergency when she crashed into a ditch in Waupaca County.

The 41-year-old Bear Creek woman died at an area hospital as a result of that medical emergency, according to the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Department.

Police say a driver called 911 at around 4:30 p.m. Monday to report seeing a vehicle in the ditch along Hwy. 45, north of Church Road in the town of Lebanon. That driver stopped and discovered three children in the vehicle, age 4, 7, and 9, who were unharmed.

The driver who discovered the vehicle performed CPR on the woman until emergency crews arrived.

The victim’s name is being withheld pending notification of relatives.
