Daniel “Dan” Vigneau
Daniel “Dan” C. Vigneau, 63, of West Palm Beach, Florida, passed away on February 28, 2018 from complications of open-heart surgery.
Born on September 5, 1954 in Wausau, Wisconsin to Dr. Edmund U. Vigneau and Gretchen (Semrau) Vigneau.
A graduate of Wausau East High School, Dan received an ADN in Nursing from North Central Technical College in Wausau, along with additional advanced health care training and certificates.
Dan was a CCRN, (Critical Care Registered Nurse) at numerous health care facilities in Wisconsin and Florida, including his last employer, Baptist Healthcare’s Northpoint Surgery and Laser Center in West Palm Beach Florida. He was an extremely competent nurse who took enormous pride in his profession. For 40 years, he was dedicated to delivery of excellent care to his patients.
A U.S. Navy Veteran Corpsman, Dan served from 1973-75.
Dan was an avid hunter and angler who felt most at home in the outdoors. He mentored countless number of young people in the art of fishing and hunting and set a fine example of a true sportsman. Although he lived in Florida for many decades, his heart was truly in Wisconsin where he annually pursued these passions.
Dan is survived by his beloved son, Nicholas, four siblings Mary McCann (J.Chris), Kathleen Lemke (Owen “Chip”), James Vigneau (Susan), and Richard Vigneau (Mary). In addition he is survived by nieces and nephews Kelley Huggett, Erin McCann, Charles “Charlie” Lemke, Dr. Tara Lemke Barry, Michael Vigneau, Kate Vigneau, and great nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by his good friends Dan Piorier and Kari Schlimgen, as well as many friends and associates.
A celebration of life will take place at a later date.

Marion J. Plautz
Marion Joyce Plautz, 87, of Wausau, passed away on Friday, March 9, 2018 at Our House Senior Living, under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services.
She was born in Wausau on February 24, 1931 to the late James and Adelia (Rothmeyer) Roeder. Marion attended schools and graduated in Wausau. She would later marry her classmate and neighbor, Elgart Plautz, in El Paso, TX, while he was serving in the Army.
Marion worked as a homemaker raising family and also on the farm. She enjoyed gardening and going on road trips with Elgart in the motorhome to visit family and friends around the country.
Survivors include her son, Keith (Kara) Plautz; grandchildren, Katie Olson of Kronenwetter, Kyle Plautz of Valley Springs, SD, and Karissa (Andrew) Clark of Schofield; great-grandchild, Taylor Olson; and brother, Ken (Colleen) Roeder of Mercer.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elgart; parents, James and Adelia; and brother, Robert Roeder.
A memorial gathering for family and friends will be on Sunday, March 18, 2018 at the Town of Texas Municipal Center, T4510 River Hills Road, beginning at 12 noon until 3:00 p.m. Private family burial of Elgart and Marion will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, town of Texas, at a later date.

Beverly Baptist
Beverly Baptist, 89, of Wausau passed away on Sunday, March 11, 2018 at Our House Senior Living.
She was born October 20, 1928 in Wausau to the late Julius and Hattie (Radtke) Russ. Beverly grew up in Wausau and worked at several businesses which included Marathon Electric, Kraft and Connor Forest Industries. On July 26, 1952, she married Rudolph Baptist at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Wausau. He preceded her in death on March 25, 2014. In her earlier years, Beverly was an avid bowler. She was on several different leagues and participated in tournaments winning many trophies over the years. She was an active community volunteer with the Commission on Aging, Meals on Wheels and Friendly Visitors. Beverly was a longtime member of Our Savior Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday School and was a member of the Altar Guild. Her true joy in life was taking care of her precious grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include her son, Randy (Joan) Baptist of Wausau, two daughters, Renee (Paul) Waliczek of Merrill, Robin (Kevin) Lubecke of Wausau, nine grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, three step great grandchildren, one brother, Jerry (Lois) Russ of Mosinee and many nieces and nephews. Beverly was further preceded in death by two brothers, Julius Jr. and Harold (Barbara) Russ.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 15, 2018 at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 703 Flieth St., Wausau. Reverend Robert Edwards will officiate. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park. Ronald Heidmann
Ronald “Toby” R. Heidmann of Edgar died surrounded by his family on Tuesday March 13, 2018 at the age of 76. Ronald was born January 9, 1942 to the late Frederick and Ann (Kania) Heidmann in the Town of Halsey. He married Virginia “Jeannie” Schueller on June 17, 1961 at St. John Catholic Church in Edgar.
Toby loved to spend time outdoors hunting and fishing and viewing all of nature from inside his truck at a “pace of his own”. Through the years he enjoyed playing multiple sports, including basketball, softball, shooting pool and horseshoes. He enjoyed watching his children play sports. He had a love for music including playing the drums in local bands and also his passion for Elvis Presley. He met his wife in high school and proposed to her on the way to a basketball game in December of 1960. For 40 years, he worked at Wausau Insurance Co. as a computer analyst.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia “Jeannie” Heidmann of Edgar. Toby was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick and Ann (Kania) Heidmann, his brother Fredrick Heidmann, grandson, Sammuel “Sammy Strong” Pospyhalla, Father-in-law, Louis Schueller, Mother-in- law, Clara (Braun) Schueller.

The Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Saturday March 17, 2018 at St. John Catholic Church, Edgar. Rev. Thomas Huff will preside. Mark Narlock
Mark W. Narlock, 53, Rhinelander, died Monday March 12, 2018 at his home.
He was born April 11, 1964, in Wausau, son of Audrey (Marten) Narlock, Rhinelander and the late Robert Narlock.
Mark had previously been employed by Custom Fabrications in Marshfield. Among his favorite pasttimes were fishing and building awesome campfires.
Survivors besides his mother, Audrey, include a son, Nicholas Narlock, Wausau, a daughter, Angelica Narlock, Wausau, one grandson, Lyric, his siblings, Alan (Terry) Narlock, Gleason, Kelly Narlock, Wausau, his soulmate, Faye Narlock, Wausau and his best friend, Jake, along with many other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Mark’s Life will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday March 16, 2018 at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services at the Sixth Street funeral home. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established. Steven H. Schneider
Steven H. Schneider, 68, Weston died Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at Wausau Manor Nursing Home.
He was born February 22, 1950 in Northfield, Illinois, son of the late Ervin and Dorothy (Happ) Schneider. On February 20, 1981 he married Patti Decker at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Wausau. She survives.
In his earlier years Steven was a welder at the former Drott/Case in Schofield. He later went on to Greenheck Fan Corporation were he eventually retired.
Steven had many outside interests in life which included fishing, small game and deer hunting, golfing and skeet shooting. He was a member of the Wausau Skeet and Trap Club and the Marathon Trap Club. Steven was a nationally ranked skeet shooter and was inducted into the Wisconsin Skeet Shooting Hall of Fame. He was also a proud life member of the NRA.
Most of all Steven found the best time outside was spent with his only daughter, Andrea. He enjoyed spending countless hours helping her around her house and especially in the woods.
Survivors include his wife, Patti Schneider, Weston, his daughter, Andrea (Dr. A.J. Hayes) Schneider, Rib Mountain, his siblings, Walter (Denise) Schneider, Eau Claire, Carol Schneider (Paul Hartkopf), Merrill, Richard (Janet) Schneider, Marathon, Jean Schneider, Milwaukee, David Schneider, Edgar, Kenneth (Michele) Schneider, Wausau, Phyllis (Mark) Burclaff, Wausau, Ruth (Greg) Seubert, Wausau, and Martha (Ron) Nowicki, Athens, one brother-in-law, Gary (Shelly McMillian) Decker, Ann Arbor, MI and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one brother-in-law, Fred Decker and his mother and father-in-law, Fred and Ellen Decker.
