MENOMONIE — Authorities are searching for a suspect accused of stabbing another man in the throat during a fight Tuesday evening, according to a Leader Telegram report.

Police are looking for David W. Hill, 37, who is described as being 5-foot-8 and 195 pounds.

Police say they were called just before 9 p.m. to a residence in the 2500 block of Harvey Drive for a report of a stabbing. The apartment is about a mile from the University of Wisconsin-Stout campus.

Witnesses reported the suspect, later identified as Hill, fled the scene on foot before police arrived. Police say Hill was last seen wearing a jean jacket, blue jeans, gold rimmed glasses and carrying a red Nike duffel bag.

The suspect remains at large. Police think Hill may be headed to Minnesota.

The victim, whose name has not yet been released, was reported in stable condition early Wednesday at a nearby hospital.

Anyone with information should call Menomonie police investigator Kelly Pollock at 715-232-2198 or Dunn County Crime Stoppers at 715-847-3866.
