Wausau West High School students recently spent the day at the Wisconsin State Capitol building to present their Project Lead the Way design.
Project Lead the Way develops STEM curricula for use by U.S. elementary, middle, and high schools.
Ben Brown, Zach Becker, Mark Raasch, Drew Schoch, and Bennett Baumann, and their teacher Theran Peterson were involved in the project, which involves an inflatable rescue device for use in guarded aquatic facilities.
PLTW students engage in hands-on activities, projects, and problems that are reflective of real-world challenges. This eal-world approach empowers students to learn essential, in-demand skills validated by the world’s leading companies, while also providing an invaluable connection between what students are learning in the classroom today and how it applies to the paths they’ll take in the future.
