MOSINEE — An inactive hand grenade found in a checked bag Tuesday led to an evacuation and delayed flights at Central Wisconsin Airport in Mosinee, officials have confirmed.
The grenade was discovered just before 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday, prompting airport officials to call in the Marathon County Bomb Squad and Mosinee Police Department to investigate.
Just two flights were delayed for about 15 minutes before the grenade was disposed of and police gave the call clear.
