TOWN OF NORRIE — The driver of an SUV was injured early Wednesday in a crash involving a school bus carrying seven students on their way to morning classes, according to the Marathon County Sheriff’s Department.

The crash happened at about 7:15 a.m. on Hwy. 29 at Bass Lake Road in the town of Norrie, police said. The students and bus driver were not injured in the crash, but the SUV driver was transported to a local hospital for what police describe as moderate injuries.

According to a news release, the bus driver did not yield the right of way to the eastbound SUV, causing the crash. Police did not say if any citations were issued.

No names have been released.
