Police: Fatal Oshkosh stabbing was drug deal gone wrong

OSHKOSH, Wis. (AP) — Police say in Oshkosh say a fatal stabbing was the result of a marijuana deal gone bad.

Police Chief Dean Smith says an 18-year-old Oshkosh man, Noah A. Williams, died at the scene about 1:30 a.m. Friday from multiple stab wounds. Another 18-year-old man, Trei Applebey, was hospitalized with multiple stab wounds. He was in intensive care as of Friday afternoon.

The suspect, a 17-year-old Oshkosh resident, was also stabbed and suffered a non-life-threatening injury. Police found him at his home around 7:30 a.m. He has not been charged.

Police say the suspect was known to the victims, and all three people involved were known to police.

Investigators found several knives at the scene and were trying to determine which one was used to stab Williams.
