MOSINEE — A Mosinee home was severely damaged in a fire that broke out Wednesday afternoon in Mosinee.

Crews were called at about 5 p.m. to a home along 10th Street and Davis Street in Mosinee for the blaze, which appeared to have started in the garage. Two people and two dogs inside the home were able to escape, and no injuries were reported.

Firefighters spent hours at the scene watching for hot spots after the blaze was extinguished.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
