WAUSAU — Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a man who left the Marathon County Jail on work release and did not return.
Bryan Burden II, 26, left the jail on Thursday evening, according to the Marathon County Sheriff’s Department.
Burden is described as 5 foot 11 inches, 170 pounds. He has two tattoos on his left hand: a cross near the web near his thumb and a cross on his middle finger.
Burden is serving a sentence for retail theft, bail jumping and fleeing an officer. He was sentenced on March 27 and was not due for release until October, according to court records.
