The snow-covered roof of a Green Bay-area hotel collapsed on Sunday morning, prompting authorities to evacuate the property and move guests to other area hotels.

No one was hurt when the portion of roof over the pool area at the Econo Lodge Inn & Suites on Ramada Way came down shortly before 10 a.m., WBAY-TV reported.

WFRV-TV reported there were about 5 people in the swimming pool when the roof started to crack. When emergency responders arrived, a larger hole started to appear.

The collapse happened during a snowstorm that dropped some 15 inches of snow in the area.
