The Wausau Metropolitan Planning Organization, or MPO, will hold public informational meetings beginning April 30 on the draft Transit Development Program plan in Rothschild and Rib Mountain.

Meetings on Wausau-area public transit to be held beginning April 30.

The plan is developed every five years to examine the public transit system, discuss public transit in the metro area and identify opportunities, according to Wausau MPO. This plan was developed by MPO staff and used a public survey about transit in the metro area.

MPO staff will be on hand to answer questions and the public is invited to make oral and written comments on the plan. Copies of the plan are available at Marathon County Conservation, Planning and Zoning Department, 210 River Drive, Wausau; the Marathon County Public Library, 300 North First St., Wausau; and at www.wausaumpo.org.
