PLOVER — An 18-year-old man who allegedly opened fire early Thursday at a town of Plover home, where two people were shot and a third person was stabbed, is now in custody.
Police say Alec Varney, 18, was arrested Thursday afternoon in Plover, hours after the shooting took place.
On April 26, 2018, at approximately 4:49 AM, deputies responded to a 9-1-1 call of a shooting in the 3800 block of Bluebird Drive in the Town of Plover. The suspect fled the scene and is currently at large.
Police say all three injured victims are expected to recover. Two victims were treated and released from a local hospital while the third victim remains in the hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
Police have not specified a motive in the shooting. An investigation is underway.
