Wausau – The Wisconsin Woodchucks have added two more pitchers to its roster this summer. Georgia State University pitchers Jake Rogers and Trey Horton have been signed to the team.

Jake Rogers

Rogers, a 5’11” junior, has spent 49.1 innings on the mound with the Panthers, recording 32 strikeouts with a 4.74 ERA and a 4-4 record, according to a Wisconsin Woodchucks press release. In 2017, Rogers pitched at Cleveland State where he posted a 9-2 record with a 3.38 ERA with 110 strikeouts in 82.2 innings. He was named TCCAA Pitcher of the Week during his freshman season after tossing a complete-game, one-hitter vs. Volunteer State. Rogers is originally from Ringgold, Georgia.

Trey Horton

Horton, a 6’1” freshman, has pitched 16.1 innings so far with 11 strikeouts and a 4.96 ERA for the Panthers. Horton was a three-year letter winner in high school. He was selected to second-team all-region as a senior and received a 2017 Rawlings-Perfect Southeast Region honorable mention. Horton is originally from Ackworth, Georgia.
