WAUSAU – The University of Wisconsin-Marathon County Office of Continuing Education is offering an educational
dining experience on the proper way to dine in today’s fast paced, technology driven society.

Learn how to prepare for a dinner meeting, what foods to avoid, which fork to use and other matters from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 14, at the University of Wisconsin-Marathon County, Center for Civic Engagement, 625 Stewart Ave., Wausau. The entire presentation will mimic a formal business dinner.

The cost is $49/person, which includes a four-course, professionally catered meal. The instructor is Amy Plier, an entrepreneur and business owner. In 1993, she and three partners started up Wausau Container Corp. – a carton manufacturing company. Plier holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from UW-Stevens Point. She serves on the board of directors for the Community Foundation of North Central Wisconsin and the UW Marathon County Foundation. Plier is also a lecturer and mentor for MCDEVCO.
