MOSINEE — Central Wisconsin Regional Airport will host a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) temporary TSA Pre?® application center from Monday, May 14 – Friday, May 18.

The TSA Pre?® application center will be located at the ticket counter. The hours are:

  • From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, May 14, Tuesday, May 15, and Wednesday, May 16
  • From 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. and noon to 4 p.m. Thursday, May 17, and Friday, May 18

Passengers do not have to buy an airline ticket or be flying out to access the application center.

“More and more passengers are discovering that enrolling in TSA Pre?® is a great way to expedite the screening process at their home airport and at airports around the country,” said Wisconsin TSA Federal Security Director Mark Lendvay in a news release. “We’re pleased that CWA is making it so easy for interested travelers to enroll right here at the airport.”

TSA Pre?® is an expedited screening program that enables members to leave on their shoes, light outerwear and belt in designated screening lanes. Passengers also can keep their laptop in its case and 3-1-1 compliant liquids/gels baggie in a carry-on.

Travelers can make an appointment online at https://www.tsa.gov/precheck and then must complete the application process in person at an enrollment center like the one at CWA. Walk-ins also will be accepted on a space-available basis. At the enrollment center, applicants will provide fingerprints and proof of citizenship or legal residency and pay an $85 fee, which covers a five-year membership.

Approved members will receive a Known Traveler Number (KTN) that can be accessed online in about a week. The member should enter the KTN in the “Known Traveler Number” field when booking airline reservations. The KTN also can be stored in the member’s frequent flyer profile with participating airlines.

For passengers who want to enroll and cannot visit CWA next week, the closest permanent enrollment center is at the Austin Straubel Airport in Green Bay.
