WAUSAU — The Center for the Visual Arts is seeking entries for two upcoming art shows that will be featured during Wausau’s International Ginseng Festival, Artrageous Weekend and Chalkfest.
Artists, who are older than 18, are invited to submit two- and three-dimensional art – photography, painting, drawing, original printmaking, papermaking, sculpture, fibers, textiles, ceramics, metals, glass, wood and mixed media – for the exhibit “Roots: The Growth From Within.” This exhibit will highlight art inspired by an artist’s perspective of their roots and artistic journey. It opens July 20 and runs through Sept. 16. Entry deadline is June 17.
Artists, who are older than 18, also are invited to submit their poster entries for “International Wisconsin Ginseng Festival Poster Contest Exhibit.” Mediums accepted are photography, painting, drawing, original printmaking, fibers, graphic design, textiles and mixed media. Entry deadline is June 23. This exhibit runs July 13 through Sept. 16.
