WAUSAU – The Grand Theater announced its 2018-2019 performing arts season this week, featuring 24 shows that have earned a combined 13 Grammy Awards, six Tony Awards, 86 Top Ten hits, 40 No. 1 hits, and almost 95 million tickets sold worldwide.

Beginning Oct. 2, The Grand will bring world-class Broadway to central Wisconsin, both heartwarming classics and Wausau premiers, according to a Grand Theater news release. Shows include “The Sound of Music,” “Finding Neverland,” “Rock of Ages” and “The Illusionists – Live From Broadway.”

In addition to legendary Broadway, the upcoming season includes legends of the music and comedy worlds. Performers include singer-songwriter Don McLean, saxophonist Branford Marsalis and comedian Jim Belushi.

After producing dozens of viral YouTube videos that have gained over one billion views, Scott Bradlee’s Postmodern Jukebox will perform their vintage takes on contemporary hits. The Ten Tenors will bring their multi-media to the stage. And The Midtown Men return with an all-new show, featuring rock classics and holiday favorites.

Country superstars RaeLynn, Tracy Lawrence and The Oak Ridge Boys also bring their acts to the stage for the 2018-2019 season.

Season subscriptions are on sale now. Season packages start at four shows and feature a discount of up to 15 percent depending on subscription level.

Subscribers also receive priority seating, free ticket exchanges and an invitation to exclusive events.
