Richard C. Kubiaczyk, 82, of Wittenberg, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at Ascension St. Clare’s Hospital, Weston.

He was born on Jan. 10, 1936, in Antigo, the son of the late Frank and Laura (Packard) Kubiaczyk.

On March 15, 1958, Richard was united in marriage to Donna Curran in Antigo. She survives.

Richard was employed by the former Wisconsin Fuel and Light Co. as a service/repairman for many years until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, shooting pool and throwing horseshoes. Richard loved socializing with people and driving around on his Moped. Most important to Richard was the time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Donna; five children, Laura McGarity of Monroe, OH, Debbie (Rick) Schlender of Pulaski, Jane (Jim) Schultz of Bowler, Rob (Sherri) Kubiaczyk and Karen Kubiaczyk all of Wittenberg; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jim (Katie) Kubiaczyk of Pleasant Prairie and Mike (Carol) Kubiaczyk of St. Germain and many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents; twin daughters, Susan and Sandra; four brothers and 2 sisters.

The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, June 11, 2018, at Schmidt & Schulta Funeral Home, Wittenberg. Rev. Clifford Kessen will officiate. Interment will be in Redeemer Lutheran Cemetery, Wittenberg. Visitation will be on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
