The Woodchucks came into Warner Park in Madison looking to bounce back after snapping their three game win streak Tuesday, but ultimately fell to the Mallards by a score of 6-4.

Down three in early innings, the Chucks were able get the bats going as designated hitter Javier Valdez gave the team their first home run of the season.

The team also got a timely RBI Single from Peter Ahn to score two in that very same inning in the top of the third.

Chucks starting pitcher Matt Walker fell behind in the early going but did a nice job keeping the team in the ballgame.

The Woodchucks got a timely RBI single from Alex Toral in the top of the 4thto trim into the lead. The team threatened in the top of the 9thbringing the tying run to the plate after a double by Isaac Quinones but could not come through in the end.

The Chucks bullpen stayed hot keeping the team in the game with good relief pitching from Dylan Carter, Joey Hennessey and Alex Stodola.

Chucks designated hitter Javier Valdez made quite the impression in his debut at the plate with a solo Home Run in the top of the third inning.

Chucks first basemen Alex Toral continued to produce in the heart of the order with an RBI single in the top of the 4thand a walk.

Woodchuck shortstop Tommy Duddleston had a very nice night at the plate with two hits and a walk.

The Chucks will be back at home at Athletic Park on Thursday as they host the Madison Mallards with the first pitch set for 6:35 p.m.
