Stevens Point police search for armed robbery suspects

STEVENS POINT — Police in Stevens Point are searching for two men suspected of robbing a man at gunpoint early Tuesday.

The alleged robbery happened on the 1800 block of Wyatt Avenue just after midnight, police said. The victim told police he was approached by two young men, one of whom was armed with a handgun. The armed suspect pointed the gun at the victim and demanded he turn over his cash and other possessions, police said.

The two suspects fled southbound on Wyatt Avenue, police said. The alleged victim was not injured.

One suspect is described as white, between 16 and 18 years of age, about 5’8″ tall with an average build and medium length wavy hair. The second suspect is described as black, between 16 and 18 years old and about 5’10” to 6′ tall with short hair. The second suspect had a dark shirt covering his face, police said.
