A few minutes later, two officer stopped the vehicle, which was driven by Peterson, who admitted having an argument with the woman that had escalated and turned physical, according to the police report.

Peterson, who allegedly admitted drinking before getting behind the wheel, failed field sobriety tests, according to the police report. A preliminary breath test shows Peterson was driving with a blood alcohol concentration of 0.14 percent, seven times the 0.02 percent limit imposed on Peterson due to his prior five OWI convictions.
