WAUSAU — Wausau has extended hours at the city’s yard waste site to allow residents to dispose of branches and other debris that fell during the recent storms.

The city will NOT provide curbside pickup.

Hours at the yard waste site as follows:

Monday, June 18, thru Sunday, June 24

Monday – Noon – 8 p.m.
Tuesday – 9 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Wednesday – 9 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Thursday – 9 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Friday – 9 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Saturday – 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Sunday – 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Starting again on Monday, June 25, the waste site reverts back to its regular hours:

Monday – Closed
Tuesday – Closed
Wednesday – 9 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Thursday – Closed
Friday – 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Saturday – 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Sunday – 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.

The yard waste site is at the east end of Chellis Street.
