WESTON — Police are investigating a bomb threat at a Weston bank, officials confirmed Thursday, though no explosive device was found.
A threat was received at about 11:30 a.m. at U.S. Bank, 5802 Camp Phillips Road, police said.
The bank and at least two nearby businesses were evacuated as police searched the area. State and local law enforcement officials were spotted at the scene, and a portion of the roadway was temporarily closed to traffic.
The area was cleared at about 1 p.m. after a thorough search, police said. Investigators are working to trace the caller who phoned in the threat.
