Marathon County Crime Stoppers is asking the public’s help to identify the people damaging or stealing items from vehicles in the city of Wausau.

Police say 15 vehicles were either damaged or had items stolen from inside them between June 16 and June 20.

Vehicles were damaged while parked on Lincoln Avenue, Adams Street, Fulton Street, Stark Street, Prospect Avenue, Porter Street, W. Wausau Avenue, N. 6th Avenue and N. 4th Avenue, police said. The rear windows were smashed out of vehicles with the suspects possibly using a baseball bat and rocks. 

In each instance, the vandalism occurred overnight. Items taken from the vehicles include loose change, cash, a computer, a Fitbit and drinks.
