“Jane” Marian Rohloff
“Jane” Marian (Luttrell) Rohloff, 87, Schofield, passed away Wednesday, July 4, 2018, at Rennes Health & Rehab surrounded by her loving family.
Jane was born March 14, 1931, to the late Bart and Marian (Coffin) Luttrell. She married Jerry Rohloff on July 3, 1954, at First United Methodist Church, Wausau.
Jane graduated from Macalester College in St. Paul, receiving her bachelor’s degree in education. She taught elementary school for 24 years, serving in Eau Claire and Wausau. She also served on the D.C. Everest School Board where she was able to hand her children their diplomas at graduation. She earned various awards for being an excellent educator as well as being elected “Wausau Woman of the Year” for her involvement in the community. Jane and Jerry served with local, state and national chapters for organizations like Ducks Unlimited and the Wisconsin National Guard Enlisted Association where they traveled across the country attending conferences into their retirement.
Jane was a strong-willed individual who loved to socialize with her friends and family. As an educator, she was extremely crafty and her love for children was endless. She would make sure that every holiday and birthday was special for her children and their families. Some of her many interests included music and enjoying trips to the casino with Jerry and friends.
Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Jerry; children Jerri Lynn (Ken) Hoehn, Jeff (Diana) Rohloff, Jeanne Rohloff, Jill (Gary) Myles; sister, Audrey Lee; 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and grandson Eric Rohloff.
A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, July 8, 2018, from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Brainard Funeral Home – Everest Chapel, 5712 Memorial Court, Weston. A Prayer Service will take place at 4 p.m. at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Man of Honor Society of Marathon County.

Albert Deiler Jr.
Albert Lee Deiler, Jr., 95, Schofield, passed away on Tuesday, July 3, 2018, at Aspirus Hospice House surrounded by his family.
Albert was born June 28, 1923, in Halder, Wisconsin, to the late Albert Sr. and Clara (Condon) Deiler. He graduated from Mosinee High School in 1942. Following graduation, he worked on a farm, The Palmer House, and eventually for International Harvester in Melrose Park, Illinois, from 1948 until his retirement in 1981.
Albert was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1949, serving overseas in Japan during the Korean War. He was ranked Corporal E4 at the time he finished service in 1951.
Albert married Dorothy Mae Rourke in 1981. She preceded him in death in 2006.
Albert loved time spent with his family and friends. His interests included reading, gardening, canning, hunting and fishing, and walking. He loved dancing to big band and polka music. He was proud to be an active member and usher at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Weston.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings; Marie (Hugo) Schmidt, Bernice (John Donahue) (Frank) Maguire, Richard (Catherine), Margaret (Robert) Walker, John “Jack” (Alice), Dorothy (Edwin) Winnie, Catherine and David. He is survived by his many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, July 9, 2018, at 11 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 6101 Zinser St., Weston, Wisconsin. The Rev. Greg Bohren will officiate. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass at the church. Interment with Military Honors will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery in Halder, Wisconsin.

Stanley J. Oluszczyk, 71, Weston, passed away Sunday, July 1, 2018, at Rennes Health & Rehab of Weston.

Donald Seymour
Donald J. Seymour, 95, Wausau passed away Wednesday, July 4, 2018, under the care of Aspirus Home Hospice Care at Lakeview Heights, Wausau.
He was born April 15, 1923, in Wausau, son of the late Herb and Elsie (Beck) Seymour. On Sept. 21, 1946, he married Ruth Lodholz at St. James Catholic Church, Wausau. She preceded him in death on Feb. 21, 2013.
Don worked for the Marathon County Highway Department for 42 years and six months. Some of his favorite pastimes included watching the Brewers and the Green Bay Packers, deer hunting, dancing and traveling and spending winters in Florida with his late wife Ruth. He enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren play various sports as well. Don was a very humble man and had great respect for his many friends and family members.
Don proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II.
Survivors include his children, Dale (Ginny) Seymour, Rothschild, Allen (Carol) Seymour, Wausau, Chuck (Leona) Seymour, Eagle River, Suzanne (Alan) Beck, Aniwa, Ron (Laura) Seymour, Wausau, Patty (Charlie) Leitermann, Mukwonago, Jeff (Stacey) Seymour, Harpswell, Maine and Terry (Connie) Seymour, Wausau; 19 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren, four sisters, Lucille (Maynard) Bedish, Eagle River, Joanne (DuWayne) Schulz, Wausau, Shirley Madden, Shawano and Darlene Fust, Wausau, one sister-in-law, Rita Seymour, Wausau and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his wife he was preceded in death by three brothers, Norman, Harold and Herb Jr., and one grandson, James Beck.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 9, 2018, at St. Stephen Lutheran Church, Wausau. The Rev. Jen Dahle will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Wausau. Esther Pilgrim
Esther A. Pilgrim, 97, Edgar, passed away peacefully while surrounded by her family on Tuesday, July 3, 2018, at Mountain Terrace, Wausau, under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services.
She was born Jan. 15, 1921, in Edgar, daughter of the late Henry and Lilly (Borchardt) Draeger. On June 3, 1944, she married Alvin R. Pilgrim at St. Stephen Lutheran Church, Edgar. He preceded her in death on May 14, 2008.
Esther worked at Marathon Cheese Corp. for 28 years until her retirement. Among her favorite pastimes, she enjoyed cooking, baking, tending to her flower beds and crocheting many blankets for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Esther spent many hours clipping articles from newspapers that contained either a story or information about a relative or friend. These articles helped her make countless books that contained history and genealogy for many family members. Esther was a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Wausau, where she enjoyed teaching Sunday School in her earlier years.
Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include, three children, Marvin (Mary Jane) Pilgrim, Marathon, Eugene (Janice) Pilgrim, Marathon and Carol Stevenson, Edgar; five grandchildren, Rebecca (Michael) Tylinski, Marathon, Katrina (Dean) Thurs, Wausau, Ryan (Melissa) Pilgrim, Medford, Carrie (Evan) Haehlke, Athens and Nicole (Jeffrey) Schneider, Marathon; 11 great-grandchildren, Sofia and Frederick Tylinski, Ruby Thurs, Madisyn, Aliyah and Treyton Pilgrim, Hunter, Alyvia and Ayva Haehlke, Mayven and Brayson Schneider; one brother-in-law, Glenn (Louise) Pilgrim, Minnesota; one sister-in-law, Elaine Pilgrim, Edgar; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband, Alvin, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Mildred Tuchscher, Adeline Pilgrim, Arleen Draeger and Lydia Pilgrim; and one great-grandson, Leo Thurs.
A very special and heartfelt thank you to the staff and residents of Mountain Terrace Senior Living. Esther enjoyed her time there immensely. It was a special time for her and her family. Also, a special thanks to the Hospice staff that worked with Esther and the family.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 9, 2018, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Wausau. Rev. Zach Holdorf will officiate. Burial will be in the Edgar Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 5 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Ave., Wausau, and again on Monday from 10 a.m. until time of services at the church.

Celine Zelinski
Celine T. Zelinski, 87, died Tuesday, July 3, 2018, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
She was born Oct. 7, 1930, in Chicago, daughter of the late Gustave and Anna (Haas) Springer. On April 17, 1993, she married Dan Zelinski at the Church of St. Anne, Wausau.
Celine retired from Kmart after many years. She then enjoyed working as a bus monitor until the age of 86. She loved planting flowers, dancing, roller skating and an occasional trip to the casino. She also enjoyed collecting elephant and angel statues.
Survivors include her husband, Dan Zelinski; children, Dave Zajicek, Dan (Diane) Zajicek and Shari (Craig) Engelhardt; grandchildren, Michelle (Nick) Paul, Renee Zajicek, Nicole Zajicek, Elise (Chase) Martinez, Claire Engelhardt, and Alyssa Engelhardt; great-grandchildren, Nathan, Marian, Micah, Anna, Jackson and David; sisters, Marie Anderson and Doris Hullinger; brother Reverend Lawrence Springer.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by Len Zajicek and son, Jim Zajicek.
Visitation will be on Saturday, July 7, from 11 a.m. until the start of Mass at St. Anne’s church in Wausau. Mass will be celebrated at noon with Rev. Frank Corradi presiding. Private burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau, on Monday.

Alfred “Al” Marx
On July 3, 2018, Alfred “Al” Marx, 80 years young, went home to be with his Heavenly Father after a brave brief fight with cancer.
Alfred was born April 13, 1938, on the family farm in Wausau, son of the late John and Margaret (Dellmann) Marx. He attended a one-room school house and later graduated from D.C. Everest High School. Al proudly worked on the family farm until he married the love of his life, Barbara (Scheel) on Jan. 16, 1960. He loved the land so much that they bought a farm not far from home where they raised eight wonderful children.
He served his country in the United States Army Reserves during the Cuban Missile Crisis, stationed in Washington State. He worked for 15 years at Marathon Electric and served as a Resolution Representative for AMPI (Associated Milk Producers, Inc.) for many years. He enjoyed going to the Wisconsin Valley Fair to watch his children and grandchildren show their projects. He gave each child their first animal and taught them how to care for it. He served on the Market Animal Show Sale Committee of the fair and cooked for the M.A.S.S. Appreciation Picnic. Some of his favorite things to do were hunting, rafting with his family on the Wolf River, going for walks in the woods with his dog Lucy, making maple syrup in his own woods, going for country car rides enjoying the scenery and stopping for ice cream, and playing Santa Claus for his grandchildren. His greatest joys were his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Alfred is leaving behind his wife of 58 years, Barbara; his children Denise Perkins, Charlotte (Jerome) Kuklinski, Michael (Sharon) Marx, Karen (Rick) Nelson, Michelle (Shawn) Perkins, Douglass (Cindy) Marx, Marciann (Russell) Wiegand; grandchildren, Bryan Perkins, Katie (Devin) Ales, Matthew (Veronica) Kuklinski, Lindsey Kuklinski, Jamie, Jonathon, Andrew, and Alexander Marx, Samantha and Tyler Nelson, Alicia (Dan) Drost, Chevie and Shae Perkins, Jake and Cole Marx, and Ruby Wiegand; great-grandchildren Skylar, Ziah, Scarlet, McKinley, Katherine, Michella, Barrett, Lillian, Landon, Aurora, and Daniel; sisters Elizabeth (Joseph) Nikolaus, Mildred (James) Imhoff, and Esther (Kenneth) Blinkwitz, and many other relatives and friends.
Preceding Alfred in death were his son Gregory Alfred, granddaughter Jennifer Lynn, sisters Emma Zinda and Gertrude Rodemeier and brother Bernard Marx.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 12, 2018, at the Church of the Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ, 621 N. Second St., Wausau. Rev. Msgr. Mark Pierce will preside. Burial with full Military Honors will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Visitation will be on Thursday, July 12, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Jude’s Research Center for Children, in Alfred’s name.

Fredolin Lang
Fredolin A. Lang, 100, Wausau, died Tuesday July 3, 2018, at Wellington Place.
He was born Oct. 26, 1917, in the town of Cassel, son of the late Frank and Mary (Heil) Lang. On Sept. 1, 1942, he married Dorothy Busko at St. Mary Catholic Church, Dubuque, Iowa. She survives.
Fred was an Army veteran of World War II, inducted in August of 1942 and served with Battery B of the 983rd field Artillery Battalion in the South Pacific and the Philippines until 1945. He had been employed as an Auto Body Technician at the former Bob Johnson Chevrolet dealership in Wausau. Some of his hobbies included fishing, hunting and camping.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy, four children, Mary (Robert) Kuski, Green Bay, Michael (Nancy) Lang, Kronenwetter, Maxine (Clarence) Felch, Rib Mountain, Mark (Karen) Lang, Menominee Falls, 12 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, one great-great-grandchildren, sister, Kathryn Kratwell, Wausau.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Esther, Mary, Rose and Ruth as well as brothers, Lawrence, Francis, Edwin and Reuben.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Monday, July 9, 2018, at the Church of the Holy Name of Jesus. Rev. Peter Kieffer will preside. Entombment will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Visitation will be Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of services all at the church.

Lavern Tourtillott Jr.
Lavern Cecil Tourtillott Jr., 79, of Wausau, passed away on July 4, 2018, at Stone Crest Residence, Wausau.
He was born on April 7, 1939, in Keshena, the son of the late Lavern and Rose (Heath) Tourtillott Sr. Vern was a 1958 graduate of Shawano High School playing several sports including football, basketball and track. He loved baseball, playing for Keshena and Neopit in the Badger Amateur Baseball Association, and was also an accomplished bowler. Lavern was always willing to share his knowledge of sports and how to play them. In his free time, he was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed fishing, and deer and bear hunting with family and friends, as well as the memories they shared and created over the years.
Survivors include his children, Todd Tourtillott of Elgin, Illinois, Troy Tourtillott of Shawano, Trina Tourtillott Jackson of Telluride, Colorado, and Thomas (Terri) Tourtillott of Wausau; grandchildren, Danielle (Ryan) Kolz of Arlington Heights, Illinois, Michelle Tourtillott of Indianapolis, Indiana, Courtney (Darwin Grignon) Tourtillott of Suamico, Joseph Tourtillott of Shawano, Benjamin “Frank” Jackson of Telluride, Colorado, and William Tourtillott of Wausau; great-grandson, Camron Grignon of Suamico; siblings, Ron (Nita) Tourtillott of Milwaukee, Renee (John) Stapley of Marion, Iowa, Lyle (Yolonda) Tourtillott of Milwaukee, and Barbara (Steve Feather) Tourtillott of Neopit; and many dear family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his second wife, Barb (Kaquatosh) Tourtillott.
A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 7, 2018, at St. Anthony Parish, BIA Route 431, Neopit. Visitation will be at the St. Anthony Community Center, W6797 Church St., Neopit, beginning at 6 p.m. on Thursday, July 5, until the time of service on Saturday. There will be a parish wake service at 7 p.m. on Friday, July 6, 2018, at the community center. Burial will be in St. Anthony Parish Cemetery, Neopit, following the funeral service.

Steven Mauritz
Steven D. Mauritz, 67, of Schofield passed away July 3, 2018, at his home.
He was born Aug. 6, 1951, in Marshfield, son of the late Edward and Norma Mauritz.
Survivors include his son Jason (Victoria) Mauritz, Wausau, one granddaughter Brooke, one great granddaughter Peyton. He is also survived by a brother Gary Mauritz, Marshfield, sister Janet (Don) Abel, Weston, and six nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 11, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. with a memorial service to follow.

Gilbert Endrizzi
Gilbert D. Endrizzi passed away on July 2, 2018. He was born in Hurley, Wisconsin on Nov. 21, 1923, the second son of Albino and Florence Endrizzi. A brilliant student, Gib led his class of 1942 as valedictorian. He went on to graduate from the University of Wisconsin in 1945 with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. After working for General Electric for about two years, he married Kathrine Kyle in 1947.
Later that year they moved to Wisconsin Rapids where he became employed by Consoweld Corp. (a division of Consolidated Papers). He spent the rest of his working life designing equipment and patterns for laminated counter top plastic that Consoweld was famous for. Gib was active in the community.
He served as Boy Scout Master and sat on the Grand Rapids School board. As a devout Catholic, Gib was instrumental in the set-up and funding of the St. Vincent de Paul Parish Twinning program. He made two trips to Haiti, where he eventually donated resources that built a grade school in a rural mountain location.
Gib’s leisure time included the design and crafting of hundreds of mosaic murals. These artworks were constructed from tiny pieces of the Consoweld plastic that he designed in his work life. Our family tree was a passion that he lived and breathed. He made 10 trips to Italy and Germany doing research on our genealogy.
Eventually he self-published a family tree volume that counted over 300 pages and dated back to the 14th century. As an amateur photographer, he developed and printed thousands of images.
He is survived by his three children; John, Mary and Dan. He is preceded in death by his wife Kathrine. She preceded him in death in 1995.

Services will be held at St. Vincent de Paul Parish, 820 13th St. South, Wis. Rapids on Monday, July 9, 2018, with visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass at 11 a.m. Rev. Jerome Patric will officiate.

Glenda Stoffel
Glenda Stoffel, 62, of Wittenberg passed away on Wednesday, July 4, 2018, at her home, surrounded by her family.
She was born on Aug. 9, 1955, in Tigerton, to James and Gladys (Hoernke) Wesener. On Aug. 20, 1983, she married Larry Stoffel, whom survives.
Glenda attended the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, where she earned her Master’s Degree in education. She taught for 42 years in the Wittenberg-Birnamwood School District. Glenda was an active member of church, playing the organ, teaching Sunday school, and coordinating their vacation bible school. She dedicated her life to children, leading Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Booster Club and Teacher’s Union and participated in her school’s extracurricular activities. She enjoyed her summers camping and fishing with her friends and family at Post Lake. She was a great teacher, a loving mother and a wonderful wife.
Survivors include her husband Larry, of Wittenberg; two children, Pamela (Josh) Falkowski, of Hatley and Bryan Stoffel of Neenah; her father, James (Rose)Wesener, of Gresham; four siblings, Judy (Kirk) Kangas, of Westfield, Jerome (Carmen) Wesener, of Manawa, Gordon (Gerry) Wesener, of Gresham, and Jill (Jen) Wesener-Dieck, of Trempleau; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Gladys, and one nephew, Jayden Dieck.
Funeral service will be held at noon on Tuesday, July 10, 2018, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Birnamwood. Rev. Matthew Christians will officiate. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Gresham. Visitation will be held on Monday from 4 – 8 p.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Birnamwood, and again on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Tuesday, all at the church.

Luella Schmidt
Luella M. Schmidt, 92, of Wittenberg, died on Tuesday, July 3, 2018, at Ascension Saint Clare’s Hospital in Weston.
She was born on April 16, 1926, in Birnamwood, the daughter of the late August and Emma (Madson) Umland.
On Feb. 24, 1951, Luella was united in marriage to Reuben Schmidt in Eveleth, Minnesota. He preceded her in death on Jan. 30, 2011.
Luella was a waitress for several years at Maple Hills Golf Course. She was an active member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Wittenberg. Luella loved to garden and bake goods for her family and friends. She adored her family and treasured the time she spent with her grandchildren.
Luella is survived by three children, Dave (Jacki) Schmidt of Wittenberg, Jim Schmidt of Greenville, South Carolina, and Gail (James) Beckwith of Wittenberg; three grandchildren, Shane (Brooke) Schmidt of Greenville, Wisconsin, Kari (Zack Krahn) Albrecht of Weston, and Daniel (Michelle) Beckwith of Green Bay; four great-grandchildren, Simon, Benji, Marshall and Mara; one sister, Lois Plautz of Pulaski; and two sisters-in-law, Edith Sontag of Lily and Adeline Beversdorf of Virginia.
Luella was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, Robert Schmidt, one brother, Alfred Umland, and five sisters, Elsie Scholz, Dora Utecht, Ruth Thiex, Mary Gardner and Delores Guyette.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 6, 2018, at Schmidt & Schulta Funeral Home, Wittenberg. Rev. Clifford Kessen will officiate. Interment will be in Forest Home Cemetery, Wittenberg. Visitation will be on Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
