WAUSAU — Pick ‘n’ Save launches home grocery delivery service today in Wausau, part of an effort to redefine customers’ shopping experience statewide.

Wausau is one of eight new markets targeted in the delivery expansion, according to a statement from Kroger’s Milwaukee-based Roundy’s division. Stevens Point, Wisconsin Rapids, De Pere, Fond du Lac, Appleton, Oshkosh and Kenosha will also have delivery service, officials stated.

The grocer launched home delivery through the online service Instacart in March at 59 Pick ’n Save and Metro Market stores throughout the Milwaukee and Madison areas. The company said success of the delivery service is prompting Pick ’n Save to expand the service to reach more than 80 percent of their customers across the state of Wisconsin.

The first delivery is free. Subsequent deliveries start at $5.95.

Pick ‘n’ Save is the latest in a stream of grocery stores to offer home delivery in the area. Lamb’s rolled out online shopping and curbside pickup in September, while Trig’s began offering pickup and delivery services in October.
