Women’s self-defense class offered

WAUSAU — A local business and nonprofit have teamed up to help women learn how to defend themselves.

Affinity Martial Arts of Wausau and YWCA of Wausau will host a women’s self-defense seminar with guro Diana Rathborne from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, at Affinity Martial Arts of Wausau, 2220 Sherman St., Wausau.

Participants will learn how to defend their bodies, identify and avoid potential trouble and gain skills that will make them more confident.
