TOWN OF BRADLEY — A Tomahawk woman was seriously injured in a single-vehicle rollover crash Tuesday south of Tomahawk, according to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department.

The crash was reported via 911 at 9:24 a.m. and happened on CTH S near Curve Inn Road, police said. The investigating deputy reported that a vehicle being driven by a 67-year-old woman left the roadway and rolled over, landing partially in Road Lake.

Tomahawk Firefighters worked for forty minutes to extricate the victim from the vehicle and then bring her up a steep embankment to a waiting Tomahawk EMS ambulance. From there she was transported by paramedics to Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital, where they were met by the Spirit helicopter and taken to Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

As of Tuesday afternoon, the woman is in serious but stable condition.

Alcohol is not a suspected factor in the crash and the victim was wearing her seat belt, according to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department. The crash is under investigation and the victim’s name is set to be released Wednesday morning.
