MERRILL — A 35-year-old Wausau man is jailed as part of an ongoing drug investigation in which officers seized more than 17 grams of methamphetamine, according to a Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department news release.

Justin W. Zastrow appeared July 17 in Lincoln County Circuit Court on charges of manufacturing or delivering methamphetamine and other charges, according to Sheriff Jeff Jaeger. While Zastrow was in custody, officers on July 20 searched his vehicle and discovered another 17.6 grams of methamphetamine and packaging materials, police said.

Additional charges are now pending against Zastrow, who remains in custody on a $3,000 cash bond.

This arrest is part of an ongoing investigation into the distribution of methamphetamine and additional arrests are possible, Jaeger said. The investigation is a partnership between the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department and the Merrill Police Department.
