WAUSAU — Wisconsin Public Radio’s “Route 51” will feature a forum with the two Democratic party candidates running for the 87th Assembly District seat in the Aug. 14 primary.

The forum airs at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 26.

Democrats Elizabeth Riley of Hayward and Tom Wymore of Glen Flora will discuss the issues facing the district with host Rich Kremer. The winner of the primary will face Incumbent Republican James W. Edming in the general election on Nov. 6.

The election forum was originally broadcast on Wisconsin Public Radio’s Eau Claire based talk show, “The West Side.”

The 87th District includes Rusk and Taylor counties and parts of Sawyer, Marathon and Clark counties. Cities in the district include Medford, Ladysmith, Hayward and Stanley, and the villages of Athens, Stetsonville, Gilman and Dorchester.

“Route 51,” WPR’s Wausau regional talk show, can be heard from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursdays on the Ideas Network stations 91.9 WLBL Wausau, AM 930 Auburndale/Stevens Point, 99.1 Stevens Point, 100.9 Marshfield, 90.3 WHBM Park Falls, 89.1 WHAA Adams/Wisconsin Rapids, HD 90.9-3 WHRM and 89.9 WHSF Rhinelander/Eagle River.
