WAUSAU — The Unity Project will launch its third annual Unity Concert this week as a means to celebrate diversity and living without boundaries.

The free concert will be held from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, at The 400 Block in downtown Wausau. Free food will be offered.

Musical entertainment will be provided by David Deon and Unified Soul and a Ukulele workshop by U{ke} Matter, so take along your ukulele if you have one.

Riseup Central Wisconsin also will host a community paint event during the concert. You can help add color to a mural project that will be permanently displayed at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

Blankets and chairs are recommended.

The Unity Project of Marathon County is committed to building a just society by attracting and retaining a diverse group of people to foster a community based on inclusion, acceptance, radical love and equal representation throughout our businesses, boards, schools, local government and social circles.
