UPDATE: Concert on the Square for Aug. 1 moves back outdoors despite weather issues

UPDATE (5:48 p.m.) — The Concert on the Square for Wednesday has been moved back to The 400 Block, according to a Wausau Events Facebook post.

The plan to move the concert to the former Sears space inside Wausau Center was scuttled due to unforeseen liability issues, the post reads.

WAUSAU — Wednesday’s Concert on the Square featuring Copper Box will be moved indoors due to a threat of thunderstorms in the Wausau area, according to Wausau Events.

The event will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Wausau Center mall in the former Sears location. No alcohol is permitted.

Lawn chairs, food, blankets, soda and water are encouraged.
