WAUPACA — Police in Waupaca are reaching out to the public to identify a possible witness in an apparent hit-and-run that left an 18-year-old Amherst man dead.

Police found the lifeless body of Tim Michael Cruise II just after 3 a.m. lying on Golke Road near Hwy Q in the town of Farmington, about three miles west of Waupaca, according to a news release. Cruise was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators say Cruise was walking on Golke Road when he was struck by a westbound vehicle that left the scene after the crash. Police do not have a description of the vehicle or suspect and do not know how badly the vehicle was damaged.

Detectives from the Waupaca Sheriff’s Office are attempting to identify this female as a potential witness. The surveilance footage was taken in the Appleton area.

The woman appears to have tattoos below her right ear and on her right leg.
