HATLEY – Learn how to use vegetables to dye a variety of fibers from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 20 at the Marathon County Public Library’s Hatley Branch, 435 Curtis Ave., Hatley.
During this free informational presentation, adults will learn the basics of dyeing fabrics using natural dyes derived from vegetables, including red cabbage, onions, carrot greens and beets. Attendees will also learn how to create dyes using spices from their own kitchens.
