The Wisconsin Department of Justice on Friday cancelled a statewide Silver Alert for a missing New London man.
Joseph Swinford, 73, was classified as a missing/vulnerable person, according to the DOJ. Swinford, of New London, was staying at a camp near Hurley and left to go to Walmart in Ironwood, Mich., and had not been seen for more than 24 hours.
Swinford was found safe, officials said late Friday afternoon. No additional details were immediately released.
