Ervin Kasper
Ervin Joseph Kasper, 92, of Wausau passed away peacefully at his home with his loving wife by his side.
Erv was born July 23, 1926, in Wausau to the late Joseph and Florence (Waytasik) Kasper. Ervin attended and left Wausau High School at 16 to join the war effort. He returned to Wausau and obtained his GED at North Central Technical School. He served 13 years in the U.S. Navy between 1944 and 1958, serving in World War II and Korea. He later joined the 32nd Infantry Brigade, (Red Arrow) and served an additional seven years. After his service, he was employed with the U.S. Postal Service, after which he opened his own tavern. In recent years, Erv loved to garden, watching cowboy movies, the Packers, Brewers and Badgers, Bingo and his family.
Ervin’s famous words to live by were, “Never say goodbye without I love you.” And he did follow the rule.
Erv is survived by his wife of 66 years, Beverly; daughter Barbara (Horst) Kretzer; granddaughters Karen (John) Schneck and Olivia Roeske-Kretzer; great-grandchildren Kendall Roeske, Emily Schneck, and Hans Schneck; great-great granddaughter Evalinn Roeske; and sister Lorraine Golla. He is preceded in death by his parents; son Scott Kasper; brother Gilbert Sedor; and sisters Irene Cascio and Mary Ryan.
A memorial service will be held Friday, Aug. 17, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Brainard Funeral Home, 522 Adams St., Wausau, with a visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Rev. William Grevatch will officiate. Private burial at Restlawn Memorial Park will take place later.

Michael Eberhardy
Michael J. Eberhardy, 51, of Kronenwetter passed away peacefully at the Aspirus Hospice House with his loving family by his side. After a courageous battle with a rare, aggressive form of brain cancer called glioblastoma multiforme, Mike’s life came to an end. This disease caused complications throughout his body, however, the most damage from the cancer occurred in his brain.
Mike was born on May 5, 1967, to Arnold and Suzanne (Brown) Eberhardy. He married Carla Zastrow on June 26, 2010.
Mike worked various jobs throughout his life, most recently he worked for G3 Industries. He enjoyed working on cars and various other things around the garage. He especially loved riding his motorcycle and going golfing. Mike always had a smile on his face and would always be one to crack jokes. He was kindhearted and full of ambition for anything he set his mind to. Mike cherished the time he would spend with his family going up north; whether it was camping, staying at the cabin, or being out on the pontoon. He was also an avid Packers and Badgers football fan.
Mike is survived by his wife, Carla; daughter, Holly Eberhardy; son, Tyler Borchardt; step-daughter, Raeanne Kruncos; father, Arnold Eberhardy; brothers, Paul (Erin Stevenson) Eberhardy and Scott Eberhardy; sisters Barbara (David) Wierzba and Jean (Joe) Lamb. He is further survived by his father-in-law, Leon Zastrow; sisters-in-law, Jerelyn (Bruce) Weinke and Dawn (Ron) Felch; and brother-in-law, Mark (Leah) Zastrow. He was preceded in death by his mother, Suzanne, and mother-in-law, Ruth Zastrow.
Memorial Service will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2018, at Brainard Funeral Home – Everest Chapel, 5712 Memorial Court, Weston. Pastor Jennifer Dahle of St. Stephen Lutheran Church, Wausau, will officiate. Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.

Joyce Griffin
Joyce I. Griffin, 89, died Sunday, Aug. 12, 2018 at The Bay at Colonial Manor, Wausau.
Survivors include her nephew, Daniel Hernandez; son-in-law, Ronnie Dockett, grandchildren, Joyce Juarez, Robert Hernandez, Lucille Hernandez and Dorena Hernandez; great-grandchildren, Ashley Griffin, Anthony Rhoades, Destiny Griffin, Rafael Juarez, Monica Juarez, Robert Jr., Rhavon, Ameerah, Aniyah, Liliya, Justice, Javonnie, Exzavier, RayJavontae, Johnny, Janiah, Deborah Lynn, Swakiel, and Kinaya.
She was preceded in death by her husband, and a daughter, Deborah Dockett.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 17, at St. Stephen Lutheran Church, Wausau. Rev. Jen Dahle will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Wausau. Visitation will be Friday from 10 a.m. until time of the services all at the church.

Alvin Dallman
Alvin Richard Dallman, 94, of Wausau passed away on Sunday, Aug. 12, 2018, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. He was born on Feb. 6, 1924, in the town of Bern, the son of the late Gustav and Alma (Muenchow) Dallman. On April 8, 1950, Alvin married Irene Richmond in Wausau.
Alvin served in the Army during World War II with the 72nd Signal Corps in the Pacific Islands. Upon his return from service, he worked for Wausau Concrete for over 30 years in the maintenance department. In his free time, he enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid fisherman. He was also a Packers and Brewers fan and liked to gather with family and friends.
Survivors include his son Jerry Klatt, Wausau, seven grandchildren Neasa (Tom) Kraemer, Mike Klatt, Ross (Michelle) Klatt, Shawn (Michelle) Klatt, Sherry (Rodger) Nordquist, Linda Klatt all of Wausau and Patty (Mark) Huntala, Marinette, 13 great grandchildren and two daughter-in-laws Joyce Klatt, Wausau, and Lorraine Klatt, Stratford.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Irene, brothers Alfred, Gustav and Herbert, sister Myrtle Marquis and three sons Clifford, Butch and Earl Klatt.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 17, 2018, at Grace United Church of Christ, 535 S. Third Ave., Wausau. Rev. Julie Goranson will officiate. Visitation will be at the church on Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be at Restlawn Memorial Park, town of Texas with Military Honors. Pearletta Utecht
Pearletta Joan Utecht, 77, of Wausau passed away on Aug. 13, 2018, at Tender Reflections Assisted Living, Wausau.
She was born on March 10, 1941, in Tigerton, the daughter of the late Herman and Sarah (Watson) Lutzewitz. On June 10, 1967, she married David E. Utecht at St. Stephens Lutheran Church in Wausau.
Pearletta enjoyed being a homemaker tending to her family. In her free time she liked to crochet and work on crossword puzzles and loved to read.
Survivors include her daughters JoAnna Stenberg; Rebecca (Bill) Pries; Sarah (Paul) Gwidt; 10 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, David, and son-in-law Keith Stenberg.
A graveside commital service will be Friday Aug. 17, 2018, at 2:30 p.m. at Restlawn Memorial Park, 4710 N. Troy Drive, Wausau.
Virginia “Ginny” Literski
Virginia “Ginny” L. Literski, 90, of Wausau passed away on Sunday, Aug. 12, 2018, at Wausau Manor, with her loving children by her side.
Virginia was born in the town of Rietbrock on Aug. 13, 1927, to the late Phillip and Lucy (Kreft) Myszka. She married Leo Literski at St. Anthony’s in Athens on June 12, 1951. He preceded her in death on April 26, 1986.
She is survived by her children, James (Sherry) Literski, JoAnn (Randy) Hargraves, Duane (Linda) Literski, Florine (Tom) Bunkelman, Ralph (Tammy) Literski and Michalene; grandchildren, Marsha (Craig) Groshek, Jill (Matt) Dahlke, Amy (Jeffrey) Maxwell, Ross Literski, Steven (Yamile) and Scott (Fiancé Kely’s) Hargraves, Mistie (Matt) Mollner, Ashley (Jeremy) Scott, Dustin (Tracy) Literski, Brooke, Brent, and Brodie Bunkelman, Cole Literski, Brandon (Amanda), Garett (Katie) and Macey Bunkelman. She is further survived by her great-grandchildren, Allyssa, Evan, Brayden, Andrew, Sawyer, Marques, William, Samuel, Hattie, Skyler, Brittan, Evelyn, Elise, Lauren, Claire and Aubrey. She is further survived by her sister-in-laws, Marcella and Betty Literski, along with many cousins.
In addition to her husband, Virginia was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Leonard.
Virginia was the wife of a farmer and a homemaker. She would spend countless hours helping in the barn before coming in and caring for her family; who were always her priority. Early in life, Virginia worked at a hospital in Chicago and was a nanny. After her husband passed she was employed at IGA in Rib Mountain, Tanglewood Lanes and did cleaning for Wanserski Dental Office.
Virginia was a member of the Rosary Society and Ladies Foresters. She enjoyed baking, gardening, going to church picnics, traveling, playing bingo and watching the Green Bay Packers. But most important to her were her family, friends and being a caregiver to others. She was known as the “Candy Lady” at Wausau Manor, always sharing her chocolate treats. “Ginny” would knit caps for the women’s shelter, crochet prayer shawls and was loved by everyone at the Manor. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and she will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
A funeral mass will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 18, 2018, at Holy Family Catholic Parish, R444 Highway U, Poniatowski. Father Tom Huff will officiate. Visitation will take place from 4:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 17, 2018, with a Rosary to take place at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will take place again from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services, all to take place at the church. Betty Tilley
Betty J. (Young) Tilley, 81, of Arpin passed away peacefully on Aug. 13, 2018, at Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield. She was born to the late Huber and Mae (Kuter) Young in Wisconsin Rapids on May 16, 1937. She married Andrew Sabo June 13, 1955, and they had five children; they later divorced. She married Jerry Tilley on Sept. 14, 1999 and he proceeded her in death on Aug. 8, 2004.
She worked in health care for many years, most of those years at Bethel Nursing Home. After marrying Jerry Tilley, they ran a feed mill in Oklahoma City until retiring and moving back to Wisconsin. She loved her Chihuahuas that she bred and raised for years. She also loved to read Amish novels and listen to music. She always looked forward to her weekly visits from her great grandsons, Cooper and Connor, who she loved to show off at the nursing home. She will be missed so much by her family and friends, but we know she is now at peace.
She is survived by her children, Martha (Lenny) Hoffman, Roberta (Charles) Schultz, Mary (Greg) Mallek, David (Mary Floyd) Sabo, 10 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, her parents and her brothers Merle, Robert, Donald, Milton and John Young; also, by a daughter, Jane Ellen Sabo in infancy.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, Sept. 1, 2018, at John J. Buettgen Funeral Home, 631 E. Grand Ave. Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at 10:30 a.m.
Family would like to thank the staff at Atrium Post-Acute Care of Marshfield for their tender care of Betty the last couple of years. A special thank to Marshfield Medical Center Emergency Department and seventh floor staff for their tender care and compassion for Betty her last couple days.
Keith Vaughn Jr.
Keith James Vaughn Jr., who resided in Weston, passed away at the age of 50 on Aug. 13, 2018. He was born to Keith J. Vaughn Sr. and Eileen (Lemke) on Aug. 25, 1967. He married Kim (Bessert) on Nov. 17, 1986, and was married for 31 years.
Keith was a Veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He enjoyed woodworking and many of his family and friends have gifts that he made for them. He was a perfectionist, and it showed in everything he did. He was an extremely giving man and would help anyone in need. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his son Adam (Krystal) Vaughn; his daughter Stephanie (Robert) Nelson; one grandson Dylan Vaughn; two granddaughters Madilyn Vaughn and Abigail Nelson; his mother Eileen; sisters Jaimie (Mike) Whitt, Leighla (Robin) Franzen; brother Richard Vaughn; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and other extended family. Keith will be dearly missed and remembered by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his father.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Friday, Aug. 17, 2018, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Grand Lodge Hotel, 805 Creske Ave., Rothschild, off the lobby.
