MARSHFIELD – Marshfield Clinic Health System will hold a free community wellness event in Marshfield that focuses on finding balance and maintaining a healthy lifestyle while functioning in a caregiver role.

Everyday Wellness: Empowering You will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 6, at Marshfield Clinic’s Laird Center for Medical Research, 1000 N. Oak Ave. Use parking lots L and B.

The agenda is as follows:

8:30-9 a.m. – Check-in

9-9:15 a.m. – Welcome

9:15-10:15 a.m. – Caring Conversations: Let’s Talk About Advance Care Planning, Penney Dupee, Marshfield Clinic Health System advance care planning coordinator.

10:30-11:15 a.m. – Breakout session I (choose one)

  • Mindfulness & You: An Introduction to the Benefits of Mindfulness, Jacob Diestelmann, Ph.D., Health System psychology fellow.
  • Moving the Needle: 5 Steps to Achieving Your Wellness Goals,” Amber Corcoran, Health System health educator.
  • The Remedy to Modern Life, Jen Zink, restorative yoga guide, Nomad Bodyworks.

11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. – Breakout session II (repeat)

12:15-1 p.m. – Lunch

1-2 p.m. – Self-Care for Caregivers, Kris Tarter, Health System oncology social worker

2-2:15 p.m. – Conclusion
