WAUSAU – All young Poké-fans can visit the Marathon County Public Library for its monthly Pokémon Club beginning in September.

The fall/winter sessions of the club will begin on Sept. 6 from 4 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. at MCPL’s Wausau Headquarters, 300 N. First St., Wausau.

Pokémon-related activities will be offered each month, along with the opportunity to play the trading card game and (with parental permission) trade your cards with other players. Don’t know how to play the game? Borrow some of the library’s cards and the library will teach you how to play. This club is geared for upper elementary and middle school-aged, but open to kids of all ages.

MCPL’s Pokémon Club will be held on the first Thursday of each month at MCPL Wausau, including the following dates:

  • Oct. 4, 4 p.m. to 4:45 p.m.
  • Nov. 1, 4 p.m. to 4:45 p.m.
  • Dec. 6, 4 p.m. to 4:45 p.m.
