Needle arts

WAUSAU – The Marathon County Public Library will host gatherings this fall and winter for needle arts enthusiasts.

MCPL will offer its first two needle arts sessions of the fall/winter from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and again from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sept. 6 at its Wausau Headquarters, 300 N. First St., Wausau.

Attendees are welcome to work on their own knitting, crocheting, quilting, cross-stitching and other needle arts projects while socializing with others and sharing ideas and techniques. Pattern books will be provided, but attendees need to bring their own needle arts supplies.

The class will be held in the afternoon and evening of the first Thursday of each month through the end of the year, with future sessions scheduled for Oct. 4, Nov. 1 and Dec. 6.
