WESTON — D.C. Everest Evergreens will hold the second annual Volley for Our Neighbors charity volleyball event on Sept. 13 at the D.C. Everest Senior High Gym, 6500 Alderson St., Weston, to raise money, food and personal items for The Neighbors’ Place.
The Everest team will host Newman Catholic High School, and together they hope to raise awareness of the needs of people less fortunate in the community.
This event, a combined effort of both the D.C. Everest and Newman Catholic High School volleyball programs, will include a food/personal care drive, 50/50 raffle, large basket raffles, smaller bucket raffles, and the sale of event T-shirts. All concession proceeds the night of the event also will be donated to The Neighbors’ Place.
Take your appetite as pork sandwiches and pork nachos will be for sale. Event organizers also will accept food, personal items and cash donations at the door.
Helpful information:
- JV plays at 5:30 p.m.
- Varsity plays at 7 p.m.
- Take a nonperishable food or personal care item to donate to get in free.
- Event includes a 50/50 raffle, as well as large basket and small bucket raffles.
- All proceeds go to The Neighbors’ Place
- Buy and wear the event T-shirt and get in for free.
