WAUPACA — A missing 92-year-old woman missing for nearly a day has been found safe, according to the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Department.
Kathryn “Kitty” Wenckus left her home sometime between 1:30 and 2:30 Thursday afternoon, and a Silver Alert was issued about four hours later.
Silver Alerts are broadcast for people with dementia or other cognitive impairments.
Searchers with gear sensing body heat combed the area through the night. Wenckus was found mid-morning on Friday.
