TOWN OF BRADLEY — A motorcycle driver was seriously injured Thursday in a Tomahawk-area crash, according to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department.

The victim is a 42-year-old man from Gurnee, Ill. His name was not immediately released.

The crash happened at about 3:09 p.m. Tuesday on CTH A at Muskellunge Lake Road in the town of Bradley.

According to the deputy’s report, a 38 year old man from St. Francis, Wis. was traveling north on CTH A when he slowed and signaled to turn east onto Muskellunge Lake Rd. The Gurnee man, who was in the same group, apparently did not see the cycle slowing and struck it from the rear causing him to be ejected onto the roadway, police said.

The 42-year-old driver was transported by Tomahawk EMS to Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital. From there he was flown to the trauma center at Aspirus Wausau Hospital by Spirit II. The operator was not wearing a helmet and alcohol was not a factor in the crash, police said.

The first driver was not injured.

The Wisconsin State Patrol and Tomahawk Fire Department assisted at the scene.
