WAUSAU – The State of the River District Dinner is the only place you can learn, talk and be immersed in everything about the Wausau River District. It is also an excellent opportunity to meet your favorite business and property and support small businesses in the community.

This year’s State of the River District Dinner will be held at 6 p.m. on Sept. 25 at the Jefferson Street Inn in downtown Wausau, with catering by City Grill.

Attendees will learn what it means to be a Main Street America program, what the new normal for downtowns is and how Wausau is adopting to that trend, the wide-reaching importance of placemaking and residential attachment work the organization does, and meet people who make our downtown a premier place to live, work, play and visit.

Tickets are $20 each and can be purchased online at http://www.wausauriverdistrict.org/state-of-the-river-district-dinner/. Tickets are only available in advance until Sept. 20 and cannot be purchased at the door.

The purpose of the Wausau River District is to promote and facilitate the economic vitality and historic preservation of downtown Wausau for the benefit of the entire community.
