PLOVER — Unitel Inc – Central Wisconsin will mark a move to its new location with a celebration in early October.
Unitel will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony at 2 p.m. Oct. 2 at 2771 Cedar Drive in Plover, the site of its new three-times-as-large location.
Unitel, a telecommunications company, has conducted business across central Wisconsin and the Fox Valley area since 1984. With the recent brand additions of Digium and Grandstream, the company has continued to expand, according to a Wausau Region Chamber of Commerce news release. Sales and technical staff also have been added, fueling Unitel’s growth.
“As the telecom industry continues to see sweeping changes as big names in the business fall, Unitel has managed to prosper by our selection of the most advanced technology in business telephones and continues to provide real value and excellent customer service.” said Jim Anderson, president of Unitel, in the news release.
Unitel also offers IT services and provides routers, switches, wireless access points and the ability to connect multiple buildings with wireless antennas. Future plans for the business include adding to Unitel’s vehicle fleet and hiring additional staff members to meet the growing customer demand.
