The Marathon County Sheriff’s Office recently received grant funding to support public safety projects.

On Aug. 31, the Wisconsin Public Service Foundation awarded the sheriff’s office with $2,000 to support upgrades to a vital piece of robotic equipment used by the bomb squad, according to a WPS news release.

The Marathon County Sheriff’s Office was one of 27 public safety organizations to receive grant funding. In total, the foundation donated $50,083 in grants this year to support public safety.
