WAUSAU — A lifelong Wausau resident had the time of his life this summer when he was chosen from throngs of contestants to appear on a popular game show in Los Angeles.
Michael Blum, a science teacher at Horace Mann Middle School appeared in an episode of The Price is Right that aired Tuesday on CBS. The show is hosted by Drew Carey and airs at 10 a.m. weekdays.
Blum was a contestant on the show over the summer, but due to a nondisclosure agreement he wasn’t able to tell anyone if he won any prizes or played any games for months.
Blum won a bike and spun a 95 on the “Big Wheel,” and though it wasn’t enough to get him into the Showcase Showdown, he said the entire experience was great fun.
The best part?
“Sharing it with my wife and checking a childhood dream off my bucket list,” Blum said.
