ASHLAND — The Wisconsin Department of Justice has issued an endangered missing person alert asking for public assistance in locating an Ashland man who was last seen nearly two weeks ago.
At about 6 p.m. on Sept. 23, Raymond L. Ocasio left an Ashland home driving a gray 2013 Honda Civic with Wis. license plate ABU7748. Police say Ocasio was alone when he left and has not been seen since. His wife told police Ocasio has never disappeared before.
Ocasio is Hispanic, about 5’7″ tall and 300 pounds. He has brown eyes and short brown hair, numerous tattoos, and is missing the lower part of his right ear.
Ocasio, who has family in the Milwaukee area, has not had contact with any family members since he departed. Two cell phones in Ocasio’s name were last used the day he disappeared and have since been turned off. Ping data from the phones showed that they were last used in the city of Ashland on Sept. 23.
Ocasio’s wife cautioned police that her husband had prior ties with the Spanish Cobras gang in the Milwaukee area. Police are asking residents statewide to be on the lookout for Ocasio and his vehicle.
Anyone with information should call Ashland Police Lt. Scott Morland at 715-682-7023.
