LAKE DUBAY, Wis. — Despite two days of searching, one man remains missing after a fishing boat capsized Saturday in Lake Dubay.

James Glodowski, 60, of Stevens Point is confirmed dead and his friend, 56-year-old Timothy Coulthurst, also from Stevens Point, is presumed drowned and is still missing, according to the Portage County Sheriff’s Department.

Portage County Sheriff’s officials took a call at about 7 a.m. Saturday from a witness who saw the boat overturn. Search crews, including the Marathon County Dive Team, scoured the area throughout the day on Saturday and again on Sunday.

Witnesses said the boat capsized after traveling too close to the Lake DuBay Dam, where two gates were open. Boating close to the dam when the gates are open is especially dangerous, officials said.
